What is E-Foiling?
E-foiling, short for electric hydro-foiling, is a cutting-edge water sport that combines elements of surfing, snowboarding, and flying. At its core, an e-foil is a surfboard mounted on a hydrofoil (an underwater wing) and powered by a quiet electric motor. As you pick up speed, the hydrofoil lifts the board above the surface of the water, allowing you to seemingly “fly” over the ocean with little to no drag. Riders control their speed using a handheld wireless remote, and with some practice, they can carve smooth turns, cruise over swells, and even catch small waves without paddling.
